Captain’s log, supplemental. This is a now page: what is on my workbench these days. Last updated on October 29, 2026.
At Work
Low-level engineering on next-generation silicon: ISA-level compute kernels, silicon validation, and drivers, all the way from the hardware units up to the software that talks to them. Most of it lives under NDA, so the details won’t show up here, but the fundamentals behind them will!
On the Blog
The posts currently in the oven:
- Fast CPU Dot Products – finishing my post on optimizing triangle rasterization with SIMD.
- A Spinning Black Hole in CUDA – a GPU renderer, where rendering, compute, math and physics all meet.
- And more on the way – compute, AI, compression, electronics and statistics. New topics, same nerd.
Live long and prosper!
